The exclusively furnished apartment Sunshine (with swimming pool) lies directly on the golden sandy beach of El Cotillo in the North of Fuerteventura. The apartment was completed in August 2006, is furnished luxuriosly and all rooms offer a breath-taking sea view. Amongst other things, you will find a big couch, a TV with satellite reception, a DVD player and a CD player in the apartment. You will be impressed by blazing red sunsets, which you can enjoy from the apartment's patio.

Location/surroundings:

The apartment Sunshine is located north of the village El Cotillo, directly next to the fine, white sandy beach "Los Lagos". The beaches, which are only 20 metres away from the apartment, are family-friendly and protected from the waves by a natural riff. The region is very popular with surfers. Good restaurants with sea view offer fresh fish. The lovely little bars, two bakeries, supermarkets and two banks are all within walking distance. Furthermore there is a pharmacy and a German doctor in El Cotillo. Once an hour you can take the bus to Corralejo.
 
El Cotillo's history reaches back to the 17th century when the village was used as a commercial harbour. In 1743 the defence tower Castillo de Tostón was constructed, which is still preserved on the southern end of the village, near the new harbour. Today it is used for all sorts of art exhibitions. Ships could - and still can - reach the old harbour only with difficulties since an offshore riff only gives them a narrow passage. You need seamanly steersmanship and faith in god in order to reach the harbour, and this is the reason for the huge inscription on the rock face next to the harbour. There you can read: "Viva la Virgen del Buen Viaje", "Long live the sacred virgin of bon voyage."
