Jandía beach

Jandía beach

The beach of the peninsula Jandía runs from Morro Jable to Costa Calma for approx. 21 km. The whole beach is divided into different sections. You can walk from Morro Jable to Costa Calma (or the other way round) in 5 to 6 hours and return by bus. The beach section where the lighthouse is situated (tourist centre Jandía = from the Iberostar hotels to Morro Jable) is also called "Playa de Matorral" and is ideal for families with children. Fine, light-coloured sand, clean and shallow sea. Between the road and the beach there are salt marshes which are legally protected. Naturism is permitted in the whole area. (In our pictures you can see the beach section next to the tourist town Jandía.)
