Payless seems to be a channel of Cicar. In any case the contract is concluded with Cicar. Delivery on the airport flowed smoothly as ever. After three days we exchanged the Freelander we had first booked for an Astra (which we had also booked in advance) in the local Cicar office in Las Playitas Grand Resort.

The Freelander had some traces of usage, which is normal after 70,000 km. As far as I can judge it, it was technically perfect. For me it was a tool for taking me to the remote corners of the island. This was without problems and reliable. Such a car is used in a different way from a normal car, which of course leaves its marks.
After three days and 580 km we exchanged it for an Astra with a 1.7l supercharged diesel engine and about 30,000 km (we had booked a petrol car since the diesel car would have been too expensive). Nice car, optically like new. Technically it also seemed ok. But a few days before the end of our holidays it wouldn't work any more, didn't run more than 3,000 rpm.
Thus we exchanged it for a third car in the Las Playitas office. No problem. This time it was the booked Astra petrol car. Ca. 13,000 km, just like new.

Total price all inclusive was 293,-- € for eleven days. From this 149,- Euro were for three days Freelander. No further costs apart from fuel.
